Timing belt replacement

We replace the timing system to the manufacturer's specification: belt or chain, tensioners, idler pulleys and usually the water pump, which on many engines is driven by the same belt. On most engines a snapped belt damages the valves, and the repair then costs many times more than a timely replacement.

The price is labour plus parts and differs for every engine. We calculate it for your model from parts prices and labour time and send it to you upfront. You drop the car off in the morning and drive away in the evening; on more complex engines, the next day at the latest.

04 — FAQ

What people ask

How much does a timing belt replacement cost?

It depends on the engine. The price is labour plus parts — belt or chain, tensioners, idlers, water pump. We calculate it for your model and send it to you upfront.

How long will I be without the car?

Usually one day: drop it off in the morning, collect it in the evening. On more complex engines, the next day at the latest. The metro is about an 8-minute walk from the workshop.

Why replace the water pump too?

On many engines it is driven by the timing belt and can only be reached when the belt is removed. Replacing both at once saves paying for the same labour again in a few years. We tell you upfront whether it makes sense for your engine.
