In an EV the A/C circuit does more than cool and heat the cabin. The heat pump and cooling circuit also keep the battery at temperature — when they fail, the car heats less efficiently, loses range in winter and may charge more slowly.
We check the circuit with diagnostics, measure pressures, find any leak and repair it. Refrigerant and oil are topped up to the manufacturer's specification. An EV's electric compressor needs non-conductive oil — a standard fill meant for combustion cars could damage it.

Why is a standard A/C regas not enough?
An EV's electric compressor needs non-conductive oil. A fill meant for combustion cars could damage it, so we use the fill specified by the manufacturer.
Does a heat pump fault affect range?
Yes. Without the heat pump the car heats less efficiently and uses more energy doing it, so winter range drops.
How often should the A/C be checked?
Once a year, ideally before summer. The circuit gradually loses refrigerant, and a leak caught early is a cheaper repair.
